Exclusive Interview With Yogini Asma Elrashedy in Ahly -now
Yoga Journey
I think people would be surprised to know it has never been easy for me to talk in public about myself
.. I am Asma Elrashedy , I graduated from the College of Hotel Tourists , I have worked in many fields of tourism, marketing , organizing conferences , I did not reach my passion , felt that it has been a long time since I’ve done anything for myself. For many years, I’ve lived life at full speed with my head down and in constant action , I told myself: ”PAUSE! Everyone has to start somewhere....”
The challenge has been more mental, to get out of my comfort zone. I decided to take it easy , I have slowed down and made time to do something new . two year searching for my life understanding my personality .. yoga, meditation and spending more quality time with family and friends. I realized that on those days, My addiction to yoga started; I just grew fond of it and I felt that i need to know about it more and more! I practiced and accepted falling, like a child starting to walk. Only through falling did I learn to pick myself up with a clearer vision of where the next step can take me.
I decided to listen to my inner voice and start doing something that was truly my passion! My next step was my YTT course and today, I am now certified Ashtanga Yoga with 200 hours and yoga therapist in training .and next step Physiotherapist and Sports injury specialist , Diploma Fab Academy Fabulous Body Inc California, United States This Certificate power yoga In addition. I worked in some places in Alexandria and Cairo and online classes USA , I teach yoga for Seniors I teach now flexibility, power yoga, Ashtanga I show up to teach my best class everytime because I want to share what I love with all people.
For me it’s about consistency, not complexity. I teach as I practice, encouraging students to feel and find better alignment. It’s about what a pose feels like, what benefits it has and not about how complex it looks... I think that makes me and them happy and of course better! It’s hard to explain
..but I am very proud to become a yoga teacher in now and to do it for my pleasure and well-being. Yoga has helped me to see and discover myself as a wholesome mind-body system. It helps me build patience and kindness with myself, and understand that anything can be achieved step by step with consistent practice. Finally my advice to all of you is to prioritize yourself and be brave enough to ask for what you want. Dreams are just dreams if only visualized within yourself. Take action and enjoy the journey. It’s not easy, but you are worth it... Never too late to begin ..
